Polyester splicing tapes are extremely tacky, resistant to extreme temperatures, and have excellent fast sticking and wetting capabilities.Industrial high temperature polyester tapes are commonly used in fly splice, overlap, hand and butt splice applications. Single side PET tapes not only allow for a continuous manufacturing process, but also prevent sagging at the start of the web and stretching of the finished web.
High perfomance polyester powder masking tapes 8901,8902, and 8905 are all made with strong polyester backing and silicone adhesive, allowing them to be used in applications requiring high temperatures or adhesion to silicone-treated surfaces. Single sided PET with silicone tape family offers a range of backing thicknesses to accommodate application needs from thin tape for splicing to a thicker, stronger tape from pulling through flashing or multiple layers.
Single sided polyester with acrylic tape 8429 is a yellow splicing tape featuring a strong polyester backing that resists breakage in high tension applications. It features an aggressive, versatile rubber adhesive that is both solvent and chemical resistant. Designed for splicing of photographic film processing.

Polyester films offer excellent thermal, abrasion, and chemical resistance while maintaining their flexibility. Silicone adhesives offer high heat resistance compared to many rubber and acrylic adhesives, reducing failure due to softening, oozing and adhesive transfer. Silicone adhesives adhere well to tough-to-stick-to surfaces like silicone liners and fixtures coated with mold release. Removes cleanly from stainless steel, anodized aluminum and glass after a 5 hour. bake cycle at 350°F (177°C). Variety of tape thicknesses offered allows uses for multiple applications.
1280 is a polyester film tape with unique adhesive for printed circuit board masking during electroplating. For temperatures greater than 218°C, consider ARIS Polyimide tapes and discs which resist continuous temperatures up 260°C for 1 hour and resist short exposures over 371°C. Polyimide is also known by its trade name Kapton, however ARIS’s polyimide tapes and discs are not the Kapto brand yet they perform equally as well.
